FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Short, clear answers about fees, company formation, documents and the tax calendar.
How we work
01 How is the monthly accounting fee determined?
The company type, monthly number of invoices and documents, number of employees and use of e-documents determine the fee. We follow the minimum fee schedule published by the professional chamber. After an initial consultation we set out the scope and fee in writing; if work outside the scope is needed, we inform you in advance.
02 How can I send my documents to you?
e-Invoice and e-Archive documents reach us automatically through the system. For paper documents, sending a photo via WhatsApp or email is enough. We can also set up a shared folder if you prefer.
03 Do I need to come to your office?
No. We can run every process by phone, email, WhatsApp and video call. If you would like to meet in person, our office on Atatürk Boulevard, Çankaya is a few minutes’ walk from Kızılay metro station.
04 When will I know the taxes I need to pay?
When the returns are prepared, we send you the amounts with a short explanation before the payment deadline, so you can plan your cash flow in advance.
Formation and getting started
05 How long should I keep my documents?
Under the Turkish Tax Procedure Law, books and documents are kept for five years starting from the calendar year following the year they relate to. The Turkish Commercial Code sets a ten-year period for commercial books and documents, so we recommend keeping them for at least ten years.
06 Should I set up a sole proprietorship or a limited company?
Expected annual profit, number of partners, liability and growth plans are decisive. As profit rises, a limited company can become more tax-efficient. In the consultation we compare both options using your figures.
07 How long does company formation take?
When the documents are complete, trade registry registration and tax office opening are usually done within a few business days. Including the inspection and e-document applications, the process generally takes about a week.
08 Does a dormant company still need accounting?
Yes. Filing obligations continue even without activity. Not filing leads to penalties and accumulating debt; if the company will not be used, closing it through liquidation is recommended.
Tax, payroll and e-documents
09 Am I required to use e-Invoice?
It is mandatory for taxpayers whose gross sales exceed the set threshold and for businesses in certain sectors. Thresholds are updated periodically, so we check your status together and plan the transition if needed.
10 What should I watch out for when hiring my first employee?
The hiring notification must be filed before work starts. Social security workplace registration, an employment contract, a personnel file and a check of eligible incentives are also among the first steps. We manage the whole process for you.
11 Are the results of your calculators exact?
Our calculators use current rates but are for information only. Since incentives, exemptions and personal circumstances can change the result, we recommend consulting our advisor for an exact calculation.
12 What happens if I pay my tax late?
Late payment interest is applied to tax and social security debts not paid on time. That is why we remind you of payment dates in advance. You can also calculate late payment interest with the free calculator on our website.
